We’ve spoken to various projects around the country as we start to plan our filming trips around the UK. One of the most common things we see is that projects, groups and societies are all desperate for volunteers, without much thought for anything else.
Naturally, volunteers are a need for these projects, but we’ve discovered part of our project aims to help these groups and societies identify what else it is they need. What are the skill-sets required to carry out certain conservation work? What impact do the roles they need to fill have? When we tease these questions out of these projects, it becomes a more attractive thing that people will want to get involved with.
By supporting our crowdfunding campaigns, we can give exposure to projects all over the country and help them get just a little bit extra than volunteers!
